Various compounds like M-Sten and DMZ weren't actually added to the list on the last ban as I recall so technically people can still get away with selling them. However they could be added to the ban list at any time. The bigger manufacturers like Olympus stopped bothering to carry them not seeing any future in it and not wanting to carry large amounts of stock of a product that could be banned on as little as a thirty day notice.
There still seems to be a number of smaller companies that look to be flying under the radar and still selling them. The problem with the small unknown companies is that quality is a big question mark. Of course there is still the option of buying from the UK.
