Well, although I doubt that this guy cut down from 32 to around 7-10, I do believe that he dropped fat without cardio..There is this preconcieved notion that cardio is a complete neccessity for cutting, IMO it's not...Think of how many old guys you know that play squash, or basketball, or tennis 5 times a week and could run circles around you, but still have that nagging beer gut..They do tons of cardio, but their diet is not on point.

your analogy is missing the point. old guy's metabolism slows down and is not as fast while resting. so even though they do an hour or 2 of cardio, the rest of the day their metabolism is slower than a younger guy's. if i take a week or even couple days off i see and feel it much more than a younger guy would. look at arnold, he could'nt maintain mass as he got older and metabolism slowed. i believe the older you get the more important cardio is, i also believe younger guys dont need as much. dont forget that test drops and its harder to keep muscle tone. sheez give us old guy's a break.lol:lol:
 
HIIT will only make you catabolic hours after if you don't consume protein, no?

any cardio will put you catabolic after if yo udont eat anything! Complex carbs are more important. BCAAs with any cardio should be done.
Themogenics work for exactly that reason they reais e temps, when temps raise the body burns more fat. If you cardio it "high enoough intensity" screw the thermo. Drink some green tea(micro and pouches not nestea or some ****) and wait 15-30 then run. sometimes i drink it after too. If you do it before do BCAAs right after or a shake 25minutes later.
I do HIIT casue i can feel alot different than a basic 15 minute jog. I feel more "awake" and active also i feel strong still and not just worn out and lazy.
This subject sucks becasue everyone has different out looks.

Arnie was on anabolics so that right there is difficult and he prolly just gave up on it all after awhile.
Age has a little to do with metabolism but why does mine suck and some kids my age look like twigs? Me 21, very weak. My friend 22(almost) a twig and eats like a horse!

This is simple. Make sure water is at gal a day. Eat lots of veggies for fiber and good vitamins.
Fruit moderate
protein high
carbs high on cardio days not so much on off days.
Try that for a few weeks see where you end up and then look into a supp/burner.
I am no epert but i am going off of not knowing his age.
