best power rack/cage?

unless you are looking at a commercial setting it wont really matter, unless of course you squatting like 700+ in it. then get the biggest badest one you can.

look to see if you can get your hands on one from an old gym or someone from craigslist.

Rouge is good but overpriced because it's the name brand for cross fit.

EliteFTS makes awesome racks. They have different levels and price points to suit your needs and budget.

Valor fitness BD-11 POWER rack is amazing and can be purchased for around 499 or even less if you look around. I use it everyday and it's incredibly stable.

Rogue R3 Bolt Together- you'll be passing it down to your future generations!

pot calling the kettle black?? loo, but seriosly, elite equipment is great, and expensive, and the shipping can make things so expensive it is almost not worth it. i do believe williams strength makes elite's stuff. get it through them for a fraction of the cost if you must have elite's stuff.

as for rogue, save a fortune on shipping by waiting for their deals. also check out their slightly used stuff from the crossfit games. i know a few people that got some bars and other stuff that way dirt cheap and after months of using them still cannot tell that they were used.

if money is a concern, keep looking on craigslist and for gyms closing down. you can pick up some gems at times suuuuuper cheap that way. you just have to be very patient.

Rae Crowther makes the best rack without question.

EFS looks great, but I've heard some negative things about their QC and CS.

Rogue is good too, but just wasn't what I was looking for with some of the options I wanted.

I personally went with Edge Fitness Systems for the one I just ordered. All of the reviews for his quality are good, and he was able to get me a good price on a ton of equipment.

Yeah a bit I suppose, doh!!!.... EliteFTS is also pricey. But IMO they are the no compromise option if nothing but the best will do.

There is a company called Shaka that makes most of the products that Rouge makes at half price. No standard rack right now though.

Also Weights and Bars in San Jose, Ca makes some great rack options for lower price points. Not good if you are not in Silicon Valley or near by.
