Best non-nitric oxide related ways to increase pumps?

I'm not saying it can't be done, just that I think it causes more potential issues than it solves. Where people can run into problems is if, for example, they want to use a pre-workout that contains creatine and caffeine; according to your advice, they shouldn't. Also, there are a lot of "staple" supplements that contain, among other ingredients, creatine, and often have uses taken pre-workout (things like glycerol, taurine, etc); if your advice is followed, it sets up potential conflicts where lots of supplements are either off the table, or timing can be an unnecessary hassle. Again, if it works for you, that's awesome, and stick with it, but I'm just presenting an alternative viewpoint. No hard feelings man. :)

Ive never understood why caffeine is included with creatine containing supplements. Example, for creatine to be beneficial to me I have to take it everyday. There is zero chance i would take caffeine more than 3 days per week since it has never agreed with my stomach.

Oh, I don't really see a reason for putting creatine in a pre-workout either, but there are still some PWOs with decent profiles that do happen to contain creatine. Whatever works for you, stick with it, but I don't think most people should be concerned regarding taking caffeine at the same time as creatine. To each his own I suppose.

For some people, they view it as saving money. Taking a product with creatine already in it. Others like creatine in bulk

And I'm sure it's easier for the people who don't have mental problems like us - taking some form of supplement every 26 minutes :D "Just put it all in my PrWO man - I ain't got time for all this monkey business" :D

Oh I'm with you man! That's why I mix all my powders together

Have you ever tried a GDA product like AP, Slin Sane or SlinMax?

Not only do these help with bloating, but also increase pumps as well. I know your bloating is due to some supplement use, but perhaps these could help as well.

The only possible negative interaction I can currently think of in your situation, regarding SlinMax and some other GDAs, would be Agmatine. Agmatine improves glucose uptake and insulin sensitivity of skeletal muscles.and glucose uptake in skeletal muscle tissue, however, it may not sit well with you since it does affect nitric oxide levels. Perhaps if you know agmatine is not a culprit for you, SlinMax would be a great option.

A pre workout dose with high carbs works wonders for me. Especially if I have carbs that are high in potassium. I actually get food pumps, pumps just from eating food, after consuming SlinMax.

Yeah. Its just to me anything that takes a cumulative effect shouldnt have caffeine in it since many people do not take in caffeine 7 days per week 30 days per month.

I am talking about supplemental dosages not just regular coffe, amps, etc etc...im saying to the magnitude of 250mg plus per day. Not everyone usages that much everyday.

I find it much better to use a non stimulate mix for focus, endurance, cognition, and add caffeine when needed.

Thats just me though. Many people love the stimulating feeling of a crap load of caffeine and dmaa...nah.

I understand completely. Sometimes I'm feeling a stim but usually I just use two of my favorite non stim pre workouts.

Well I have been trialing the ingredients one at a time again and agmatine, hydromax, and taurine all seem to be good to go, same for caffeine and theobromine. Its mainly citrulline, nitrates, and things that act as pde-5 inhibitors that slow things down. Also managed to find a few studies showing how PDE 5 inhibitors will delay gastric emptying and intestinal transit in healthy individuals, while agmatine does not affect gastric emptying or intestinal transit (though it does reduce water absorption, which may be why some people get the runs from it).

For all the bros more steeped in the science of things, would increasing NO production via any of these pump ingredients lead to delayed gastrointestinal transit? NO seems to be the main inhibitory/relaxing neurotransmitter in the GI tract, and theoretically at least it would seem like it would do so. I am prone to slow transit as it is and trying to figure out what may make things worse.

MAn, I really wish coop was still active. I'm sue he would have some pretty good insight into this.
