"Mr. Scary"- by Dokken off of Back for the Attack. No better
instrumental in my opinion. The live version off of Beast from
the East is just relentless. Incredible tune.

True except for BLS. It just seems to me that no one plays like that anymore. With the newer metal I start to like a riff and it just goes into scream singing which I don't care for. The guitar solo has become taboo. Also I didn't really see any newer bands on anyone's list.

hendrix - purple haze, crosstown traffic, star spangled banner
SRV - lenny, crossfire
metallica - fade to black
steve vai - for the love of god
satriani - cool #9
EVH - you really got me now, ice cream man
allman brothers - jessica
dream theater - flight of the bumblebee
GNR - you could be mine
ozzy - over the mountain
santana - europa

can you tell i play guitar?:drunk:

as far as just great guitar music, if you're into Nugent, Hendrix, Vaughan, you gotta check out Frank Marino and Mahogany Rush. I never heard of him until my buddy showed me some old videos of him. The guy is insane. He's actually touring right now. I might go see him in NYC.

Joe Satriani - Flying In A Blue Dream
Steve Vai - For The Love of God
Death - Voice of The Soul
InFlames - Gyroscope
Dream Theater - Erotomania

I could keep typing, but there's too many too list!:)
