Hi,
I´m ectomorph and struggle to gain any weight. Worse, when i can put some weight, a large part is fat, especially on the belly. I´m the skinny-fat type :|
I really prefer shakes since i struggle to eat solid food.. I eat but can´t eat a "lot".
Currently, i take a shake of WMS+Whey+Peanut Butter 3/4 times a day to accomplish my daily calories intake. On breakfast, pre and pos and sometimes before bed.
However, since i started to take WMS i notice i feel hungry a lot more and a kind of hypoglycemia. A mild dizziness like i wasn´t eating enough. It could be not the WMS but i suspect from it. Theres any sense on it?
Before that i´ve tried oats (which couldn´t eat a lot without runnings to bathroom), Vitargo (expensive) and some weight gainers with Malto, Dextrose, etc. I think Malto and Dextrose are good for pos-workout but not as good as meal replacement.
So, in your opinion, whats the best carb to help me bulk up (about a 5kg/2.2lbs) as meal replacement? No really as a meal replacement but like a way to complement the daily calories intake. I don´t mind if it takes longer, but i prefer leaner results. I want a carb that i can take all day if i want (this is a manner of speaking).
In the moment my options are:
Instant Oats (i´ve never tried this brand)
Maltodextrin (maybe some on pos-workout?)
Dextrose
Waxy Maize Starch
Vitargo Pure
Fructose
Palatinose
Activated Barley
Vitargo and Activated Barley are expensive.. But if they worth..
I mention these because are the ones i can buy on bulk, without flavours neither additives
And concerning to protein? Whey or a blend?
