Well, I am not sure if there is one "best" 5x5?!, since they are all pretty much the same basics first, with the compound exercises and utilizing the body's biggest structures and mass. I think it is more the programming of the progressions (they can be and or get altered) depending on your level, your goals, ability to recover, outside work/job factors etc. etc.

As grinnell eludes to..., and to be honest, the application of hard work, focus, consistency, recovery, eating enough, etc. etc. are going to be the crux of any routine's success or failure.
