This has to be the absolute best libido booster I've ever used. Hella cheap @ Nutraplanet right now too!
 
Has anyone ever eaten it on a recipe?

I can get it in bulk in a bunch of stores here and was always curious what it tasted like

I ate the powder but never in recipe. You can can get some bags of the bulk organic stuff from amazon to add to recipes though. Take a look through the reviews on Amazon and people talk about adding it to certain foods.

Ive added it to protein pancakes in the past. I dont recall it changing the product noticeably. Ill try it again this week.

I've had bulk powder and took it max 2 tablespoons/day without any effect. I wouldn't call it unedible, but the taste is not something I would like to include to my pancakes :no:

An extract for supplementing or the whole plant?
 
Now Foods is a quality company - you should be fine. Although I have only used their TestoJack 200 product, which contains: "Organic Maca Root (Lepidium meyenii (6:1 Concentrate)". Their stand alone product does not list any extractions, etc... It's for Libido (Red Maca may also protect the Prostate). 1,500mg is a prevalent dosage in the human studies. It builds too, testing intervals were at 4, 8, and 12 weeks.

Maca definitely can give a libido boost and older people often get a great boost in energy. I believe Maca readily converts into progesterone which helps preserve testosterone. Also Maca contains Diindolylmethane which also helps with test/estro ratio. Most people prefer gelatinized Maca which is essentially like a concentrate. I have heard people having GI issues with straight raw Maca and supposedly people in the regions where Maca is grown never eat it raw. I have never used Macapro, but I will say that some extracts work and others don't. Seems most people on here agree Macapro works though. If you do take the gelatinized powder, 2-6 tablespoons a day usually do the trick. Some people describe the taste as a bitter, burnt butterscotch.

If you subscribe to consumer reports, you'll see that NOW foods fails a lot of 3rd party independent tests.
 
Have tried that Peruvian maca That is in health stores. Taste is weird: mild but kinda malty and sweet. The texture seems to stick to my teeth making the flavor linger.

I get a mild libido boost and mild energy boost from it.
 
With the price maca pro now, less than 12 bucks a bottle and bps reputation how could you deviate from that lol
 
different m acas have different tastes. have used maca in the past with little benefit at label doses of raw root powder/ caps. only felt some adaptogenic benefits and mild libido/junk improvements.
but recently i started taking macapro after picking up a couple bottles on sale from np. did not expect anything b ut after 2 weeks of use at 2 caps ed (coupled with 3 caps of their endosurge turbo product, which contains 1/4 the amount of maca present in one cap macapro), i can say without a doubt that it raised my libido, increased my loads and improved my junk (pardon for being graphic). have been pleasantly surprised with it. definitely a quality product that seems very potent

Subjective well-being, erection and libido enhancement are the main benefits seen in studies. One of the studies used a maca product from a supplier, but I can't find the % extract. They took about 3 grams per day, but I am assuming that it was straight maca not an extract. The extract for MacaPro would give you approximately 20 grams of dried powder if taken at 2 caps per day.

I have used bulk premium maca from ELF, a blend of yellow, red & black maca. it was great! I used it in baking all the time Driven2lift it didn't really affect the flavour.
I have also used UNTCO Maca Xpresso, the flavour wasn't that great brewed, but I liked to drop into baking recipes or have with proats/sludge.

I'm currently using dark mint MacaForce.

The biggest benefit for me was feeling more balanced hormonally and my monthly cycles not being near as miserable! The focus was great as well!!

I've used Maca twice. Once was Maca Pro and the other was another 20:1 in a formula. Never saw as much as a tickle on my nuts.

I'm really debating trying the branded Lepidamax. Looks promising.

I used to rep for them back when they had formasurge...it seems once formasurge was banned the company started to go downhill.

btw-i actually logged endosurge and gave it high marks.

lol...I started using formestane back in bulk nutrition days E-FORM....after spending a fortune on stuff I decided to try E-FORM for $14, it was the best 'supplement' I had ver used and price was incredible.

agreed-formasurge was great!!!

I tried it for around 4 days to test it, yeah it's got a lot of similar effect as formestane-not quite as good but close, a lot better than oral 6oxo...saving it to run after my andro cycle, I've got too many td's i'm applying for now-just added in epichaos.
