Bench press with elbows tucked/breaking the bar

So I tried giving this a shot today since I have constant issues with my right AC joint(I always benched with a flare in the elbows), to be honest it felt really uncomfortable, I tried to bench with elbows tucked by bending the bar towards my feet and my forearms were getting really sore from just trying to break the bar leading to having issues pressing the bar up. Is this normal or is it something I am doing wrong with my form?

It is hard to know exactly, but it sounds like you are taking the tucking of the elbow concept on flat bench pressing to the extreme side that was popularized in shirted equipped competitive powerlifting. It is a hard concept to describe for a raw lifter in text, but I think Greg Nuckols of Stronger By Science does a good job in the article linked below:
