Beelze training log

Jecko, don't be talking sh!t about abs...haha

a 220lbs beelze? Are you planning on doing a BBing comp or something like that?

nah, mainly health reasons. plus, abs wouldn't hurt.;) never had abs, even after boot camp at 165lbs, i was just skinny. i envision when dieting the right way and over time, i can achieve this goal. not unreasonable i think.

Why not enter a PL comp. while your at it. If your careful enough your lifts won't go down all too much, and you could win some money while your at it :D

that's always a possibility. i'd definitely fair well against a lighter class if i'm able to keep the majority of my current strength. my deadlift never seems to falter regardless of weight so i've got that going for me. one thing at a time though ;)

flat dumbbell 2/3 - 115's x 9 (up 2 reps)
seated military 2/3 - 165 x 9 (up 2 reps)
overhead rope pressdown 2/3 - 160 x 11 (up 10lbs and 3 reps)
close grip v-handle pulldowns 2/3 - 200 x 9 (up 1 rep)
deads (raw) - 425 x 5 (easy, but still creeping back into these, up 20lbs from last time.)

30 mins cardio

and tomorrow - 45 mins cardio

Proud of ya you big focker. Just keep taking it slow. I did some crash dieting to jump start my return to having abs and my strength went in the back seat for a while. I wouldnt wish that on even the devil. ;)

hammer leg press 2/3 - 450 x 13 (up 2 reps)
one legged leg curl 2/3 - 60 x 13 (up 2 reps)
dumbbell preacher 2/3 - 45's x 9 (up 2 reps)
dumbbell wrist curl 2/3 - 50's x 12 (up 2 reps)
donkey calves - (3) 400 x max, BW x max

today - 45 mins cardio

Pretty sure Beelze is referring to Hammer Strength machines... opposed to the Cybex machines.

I like to speak for Beez. It's kind of my thing now.

Ive just started the Donkey calve machine. how long have you doen these Beelze and do you notice anything different than standing calve raises , with the Donkey calve machine?

difference? not really truth be told. i just do various types of calf raises to keep things interesting. my new fav is calf raises on the smith machine with the bar in a squat position on my back, standing on a platform.

incline bench 2/3 - 225 x 10 (up 2 reps)
hammer military 2/3 - 180 x 10 (up 3 reps)
skulls on flat 2/3 - 65 x 12 (up 4 reps)
wide d-handle pulldowns 2/3 - 220 x 13 (up 3 reps)
dumbbell rows 2/3 - 115's x 9 (up 1 rep)

30 mins cardio

uh oh, here come the PRs on TUT. Atta boy.

*cue Primus's "here come the bastards"*

I feel a difference on the Donkey Calf Machine. You don't have to keep your torso erect, so there is less strain on the old spine when using heavy weight.

Love,
Ubi

I've been talking these up quite a bit.

You can really pile on the weight and feel pretty godly with these. Plus you can work different angles much easier, IMO.

that's just to keep me happy brutha. i miss the 5 and 6 plate sets but now ain't the time for that sh!t. you'll get there in time though brutha, just be content with adding 5-10lbs each time, adds up real quick.

247lbs. 2.5lbs down from last week, 25lbs overall. onward...........

supplement routine has changed so i'm starting a measurement log as well in the event that scale weight quits dropping. creatine - check. Gardenia Honey - check.

I've added Pop Tarts to my Creatine and Honey.

I'm going to have to request a 45 minute video of you doing cardio. I don't believe it.

:D

Beelze how long have you been doing DC training? what results have you gotten thus far from it?

total time i'd guess 18 months or so. when i was going for all out mass and strength with a somewhat clean diet, strength was through the roof and increasing by leaps and bounds every week. mass increases came a lot slower but consistent nonetheless. my log book dates to before DC was started and the lift increases are pretty cool to look at. most notable are incline bench 275 x 5 to 315 x 12, deads 495 x 2 to 615 x 3, squat 405 x 6 to 585 x 2. size mostly increased in chest/back and quads/hams, more of a thick look. now, i'm slowly chiseling off the fluff that has accumulated, at one time in excess of 296lbs.

Dave Tate? I don't eat Little Debbie or HoHos or whatever. I'm on the *SB* train to Valhalla. *SB* is the one that reminded us about Strawberry Pop Tarts. :)

BeezieBoo, thanks for reminding me that I'm 18 months behind you in lifts, ego killer indeed.
