bedtime cottage cheese recipe

I know all of us try and eat the standard cottage cheese before bed. Well, dabbled around and came up with this. Its pretty much common recipe, but just throwing it out there in case someone doesnt know.

This is really really good:

1.5cups of FF cottage cheese (somewhere in that range)
2 TBSP Natty PB (zap in the microwave and melt it)
1 small container of activa yogurt (vanilla - 9g carbs)

dump it all in a bowl and mix is like crazy....try and "whip" it i guess you could say.

Eat....

so good

i eat my cottage cheese with peanut butter and a little non fat milk to help miss it all together.

very simple meal only takes a minute to put it together

Wow, never thought of trying that combo, I now have a new one to my regime. While on the subject of recipes, I have one to share. Low or non fat cottage cheese, raisens, and some honey, (not too much honey, don't want it too sweet). This a high protein meal that can be eaten post workout while you prepare your dinner.

Seriously? I love cottage cheese and i love peanut butter, but together? Is it actually good?

before i used to include maple syrup to sweeten this a bit but i stopped doing that, it took a couple of days to get used to the taste but now i don't mind at all.

i recommend using good peanut butter when mixing this, i use adams peanut butter and i will not try any other type.

i pour a little milk to help mix it all together, over all this is my favorite last meal and it takes care of my hunger through the night

does adding stuff into cottage cheese honestly make it that much better? For some reason cottage cheese makes me want to gag... and that is really disappointing considering how nutritional it is....

If your not stuck on low carb canned pears are good chopped up and mixed in also canned mandarin oranges.

Thats how I was when I first started to try and eat it. Eventually you'll make a concoction that taste good to you, then it will be easier to eat next time.

heh... let the vomiting begin!

The things we do in the name of nutrition...:fool2:
Yeah, no kidding. However I began looking forward to that end of the night snack. I'd mix a cup of CC, tablespoon of PB, Tablespoon of pudding, and something like cheerios, peanuts or something for some crunchiness. It became an awesome dessert.
