I'm just curious, are the 8:1:1 bcaa's that much better than the 2:1:1? Or is it just more marketing?

I'm sure this has already been asked several times, but the search on my phone showed me nothing.

Many people are more concerned with leucine than the rest of the BCAA's, so they may like the 8:1:1 most. The other school of thought is that the studies I believe (or at least some) were done on a 2:1:1 ratio.

Exactly. Some brands use the first argumente, then others use the second

Straight leucine and lysine on keto

Bcaa/eaa if on traditional
 
And depending on use, I would opt for an EAA instead of a BCAA if your use will be intra-workout.

I still opt for leucine/lysine if not using carbs and training fasted on keto

Otherwise eaa is good with traditional IMO that based on my usage personally
 
The 8:1:1 ratio is just the amount of luecine. Luecine is the most benificial bcaa product, but I prefer a 3:1:1 bcaa and use it mostly when dieting. And pre fasted cardio.
 
I never heard about someone doing that. Since my diet's keto, very interested in why if I could trouble you for the explanation.
