BCAA's and calorie counting...

I am trying to get to the elusive sub 10% body fat. I use a bodymedia device to track calorie expenditure and log all foods. I burn about 3000 kcal/day and eat an average of -500.

I have been counting the "calories" in bcaa's (xtend) and am wondering if this is something I should be doing? I am planning on dropping my cals to 1800 for a few weeks and want to know if I should include those in the 1800 or if it should be 1800 + bcaa's. Thanks!

When I was training for competition I would count them...but i was having 50-60g/day. If you are just having a scoop of xtend I really wouldn't worry about it

theres no calories in a serving of xtend...
ww w.scivation.com/XTEND.aspx

Bcaas are protein, and thus have calories. Nutrition labeling laws arent always the best...

other way around... Protein is BCAA's
1g protein is 4 calories, lets just say its the same for BCAA (although its zero) 4calx13g = 52cal.

If you waste your life worrying about 50cals A DAY your on PCP. 50cals is nothing

True which is why I said unless you are taking very large quantities I wouldn't worry about it...

ahh, i missed that. I was to fuelled by the calorie discussion lol.

Ha yeah you're right though if someone stresses about 20-50 cals/day they need to go get checked out for ocd

You guys are right, one serving/scoop of xtend does not make much of a difference. But if you have 5-6 scoops through out the day and are on a strict cutting diet of 1800 kcals, those 200-300 calories can make a difference.

Oh definitely 300cals can change you from a cutting/maintenance/recomp or bulking diet easily, and you wont even know it.
I have about 2 scoops ED of Xtend. On fasting periods I up it a bit

bcaa's help a ton for getting ripped and shredded, helping hold onto muscle when calories go real low!

You can see your abs bro if that is your picture. you look fine, why not take advantage of that rebound weight for a month and eat up, add some size and strength, then after a month cut back on the food consumption
