BCAA ratios

A company who makes 2:1:1 claims that BCAAs with higher lucine ratios are a marketing scam because lucine is the cheapes BCAA...confused, what is the best ratio, if there is such a thing?!

Marketing hype primarily I think I mean 5 or 10 is superior to 2 right, that whole if some is good a LOT more must be better.

2:1:1 is what the studies were done with

Not sure if its marketing if it's based on the 2:1:1 ratio. As long as it follows the ratio it shouldn't matter.

Layne Norton showed that excess Leucine is useless, so more than you need is a waste of money. Since Leucine alone (even with the other two BCAA) won't synthesize Jack without everything else muscle tissue is composed of (insert Brick Layer without Bricks, or Electrician without a Power Source analogy here) You just need enough to "plus up" whatever your protein source lacks - which may not be needed at all if you intake enough protein per sitting.

Now, if you're one of those muscle catabolism devotees - Leucine is insulinogenic as heck, and can also be burned as fuel, so I guess a ton of it fasted may have a point - but I don't worry about that, so am not really up to speed.
