so a while ago i started supplementing a bcaa/eaa complex. about a week after starting, the tattoo on my back became raised and itchy...which sucks because i cant reach that part of my back easily and i look like an idiot since im always scratching my back on the wall haha. anyways, i continued using the product for a few more weeks in hopes it would go away but it didnt. i stopped taking the complex and the effect went away. just to see if it was something other than my bcaa/eaa's, i started it back up and the same thing happened.

has anyone had the same thing happen? suggestions? maybe try a different complex? i was using the juiced aminos by universal nutrition (animal)

thanks guys

Never happened to me and that's the first I've heard of this type of reaction. Were there any other major variables at the time (new clothes, new soap, etc...)?

nothing else had changed in my diet or daily routine except adding the new supp. it was animal's juiced aminos. got a b1g1 deal on it a while back. ive stopped using it since but loved the improved sense of well being i felt when using it.

That's really weird. May have to ask doc or something cause I haven't heard of that either and I've used animals juiced aminos

Yea theyre freakin delicious haha. They get rid of my sugary food cravings. Anyways definately not the arganine cuz ive tried a s*** ton of supps with it and i love it. I will go ask a dermatologist and see what they have to say

Great. I just cracked open my second tub of them (got the same B1G1 deal you did) and I just got a tattoo today. I guess we'll see what happens!

Haha nice man. Let me know if you get the same side effects. If not then enjoy it. Its freakin delicious! I liked to throw in the orange flavored one with a vanilla protien shake post workout and it was like having an orange dreamsicle

2 days in no issue so far. I know bcaas do have an affect on wound healing but I've read that it's faster healing (could be way off. Read it awhile ago, but it makes sense). My tat is still slightly raised just from the inflammation so the next week will definitely be the tell take
For it. I'm glad I found this thread ahead of time though!

Yea man. Im sure youll be fine cuz this is the only time ive heard of this so far. My tattoo was like 4-5 years old when this happened. Im probably just a freak is all haha. Let me know what happens man.
