Has anyone seen this documentary? It is currently playing on showtime, and I have seen it on IFC. It is a view of the war seen largely thru the eyes of Iraqi civilians. It is pretty sickening and sad to see what has happened to innocent people over there. While it is largely sympathetic(to the civilians, not combatants) whether you agree or disagree with the war, it is worth watching. It offers some pretty good insight into how these people are being affected, and what they think of us.

War huh woooo woooo what is it good for!

well its good for many things .. but civilians die.. if we are invaided by any nation.. i may die... its war.. some nations try harder than others to keep those numbers down.. the USA is such nation even at the cost of our own troops.

This is why we have to bring war back to how it was in WW2. That sort of style, carpet bombing cities etc. Would have ended any sort of large scale islamist attacks. We do our best not to hit any religious buildings, hospitals etc. A large portion of the American people have no gut for war past the 1 year mark.. so fine.. lets gear the war around public opinion for the future.. we currently have a president who doesn't really care about public opinion and i for one like that. Other wise you get a cluster F of democracy like California. I respect each life unneeded life taken.. the kid plaing soccer, the mother breast feeding her child or the old man praying to Allah... but if the united states is this empire of evil that "everyone" seems to think it is.. then.. why even bother to save these people..

I fully feel that a world with a passive united states, would be a worse world for it

with that being said.. MORNING JAR-JARBinkshead
