Battle Ready with MST RagNOroc

A very big thank you to jalfrey and MST for the hookup and opportunity to log this great looking product. The profile looks great and I can't wait to have my first workout with it! T minus 2 hours and counting...

Background: 34 year old male with three kids, beautiful wife, two crazy puppies, and a stressful job.

Im coming off a longish - stim-fueled -cut. Now I'm reverse dieting and taking a stim break. So I'll be using the caffeine free version of this product.

My passion is rock climbing and training is focused on getting stronger for that sport, while maintaining a lite weight, balancing muscle groups, and looking like a Calvin Klein underwear model (below the neck anyway).

Stats: 6' tall, 167 pounds, likely just below 10%-ish bf.

Training: 1 month periodized blocks focusing on endurance, strength, then power/performance (with maintenance elements interspersed). Longer power/performance phase, short but intense endurance phase. Strength phase focused on gaining pulling and grip strength, and keeping antagonists up to par as well.

I'm just coming off a rest week and starting into endurance/base fitness training. Building volume and shortening rests as the weeks progress. I'll likely still be logging as I move into my strength phase, so that will be a good opportunity to test the diversity of RagNOroc as a pwo.

Monday Wednesday Saturday : rock climbing, one to two hours: technique drills, strength/power/endurance based climbs (phase dependent). Climbs could be as short as working single moves, or as long as 30 minute constant effort.

That's followed by an hour of supplemental lifting. Lots of heavy pull work, some pushing and some core.
Set, rep and rest scheme changes according to phase.

I'll be taking RagNOroc before all of these sessions. Likely adding some caffeine in on Saturday (earlier workout) after my four week stim break.

Thursday and Sunday. High rep shoulder and elbow prehab work for about an hour. No rests, circuit style.

I'm going to try taking RagNOroc before a bunch of these sessions after a couple of weeks, when cals increase and I start pushing more weight - in order to see how hard I can push them, and to gauge any tolerance issues from using it 5x per week as opposed to just 3.

Current supps:
C, b, d, magnesium, fish oil, slinmax with select meals, bcaa's, scivation flexatril

Cutting out my usual creatine, beta alanine and tmg, post workout, to get a better feel for RagNOroc's effect.

RagNOroc looks like a well dosed pre workout and I can't wait to see how hard I can push myself with it!

Thanks for checkin' in! Let's Roc!

Sounds like a good plan! This is the first product I ever used from MST and made me want to pursue repping for them. Eager to see how it treats you!

Put a scoop of Crushing Punch Caffeine free RagNOroc in about 8oz of water at 7:20 pm. Couple shakes and all dissolved well. Smelled sweet, but not sickeningly so. Tasted AMAZE-BALLS! A beautiful tropical blend of pineapple, some pear, appley goodness! Might have been my imagination, but there was a unique mouthfeel to it, kind of silky, not watery, juicey!!!

It was easy on my stomach, no bloat, felt tight, and ready to crush by 7:40.

Immediately felt warm and ready to go. Slight facial flushing and noticeable paresthesia from, what must be, well dosed beta alanine.

Workout: 1st week of Endurance/Fitness base Block coming off of rest week.

Foam rolling, theraband mobility warmup.

I started sweating earlier than usual and could already feel a little pump in shoulders.

Climbing warmup - sustained low level (about 150 bpm) climbing for 20 minutes.

Climbing Intervals - 4 sets of Max effort @ 2:1, work:rest ratio

HIIT Circuit: 3 rounds of pull-ups, Arnold presses, squats, leg raises

P.T. - 3 sets of reverse wrist curls and sledge pronations

Foam Roll, Self Massage, Stretch/yoga

Total time: 2 hours

I definitely felt more focused than usual. Moved quickly and purposefully between sets. Great focus. Pump was good, though I was no carb for about the last 48 hours.

It's been over 2 months since my last endurance work...and while I'm definitely stronger, I expected to suffer greatly last night due to the quickly fleeting effects of endurance work. HOWEVER, I bested almost every single metric over my previous endurance PEAK workout. Combination of better periodized structure, diet, and RagNOroc played its part as well.

Preliminary evaluation: A+. Very promising. Can't wait to see what the coming weeks bring!

Getting ready for some high rep recovery/prehab/rehab work...

Crushing Punch is so damn tastey! I could drink this errday!

Glad you like the taste! I love it! If RagNOrok mixed just a bit better, I'd sip that s*** all day. All natural flavorings FTW!

Seriously!!!!

And the pumps not bad neither....

Focus is fantastic too. Easily squeezing and visualizing each muscle being targeted...form, posture, breathing, intensity....

Great workout last night. As I said, focus was intense and I was tempted to up weights and lengthen my training sesh...had to remind myself several times that it was supposed to be a low intensity recovery workout. Might play with upping weights here as my calories come up over the next couple weeks...

Foam roll
Shoulder prehab circuit:
-prone lat raises 3x15, internal rotators 3x15, Y raises 3x15, external rotators, reverse fly 3x15, standing dumbbell curls 3x15

Elbow Prehab and P.T. Circuits
1. Reverse wrist curls with isometric holds 3x15/ standing single leg calf raises 3x to failure
2. Sledge pronation 3x15 / eccentric wrist curls with isometric holds and full finger extension 3x15 / eccentric sledge supination with isometric holds

Roll, massage, stretch/yoga

Glad you like the pump!

You got the caffeine free version, right?

Good. I've heard that in the past (before I was a rep), there was sometimes mix-ups with caffeinated vs caffeine free shipping out. So I always like to check

in on this

Woke up too early, at 4:30, but was feeling good and ready to Roc! RagNOroc!

Stacked it up with 2xNorcodrene + 1x Shift (last week of morning stims :(

Workout: 1st week, 2nd workout of Endurance/Fitness base block.

Foam rolling, theraband mobility warmup.
Climbing warmup - sustained low level (about 1200 bpm) climbing for 20 minutes.

Climbing Intervals - 4 sets of Max effort @ 2:1, work:rest ratio

HIIT Circuit: 3 rounds of prone body weight rows, Ring dips, dumbbell straight leg deads , leg raises
-bicycle kicks, neck and back bridge finishers

P.T. - 3 sets of reverse wrist curls and sledge pronations with isometric holds

Foam Roll, Self Massage, Stretch/yoga

Great workout! Awesome focus and clean energy. Able to pr for my climbing interval circuits. And held my isometrics longer than usual

Subbed

Sunday I had another great early morning recovery workout. High rep accessory, prehab and P.t. About an hour long and really wanted to keep going and move some weight! Had to hold back and save myself for Monday night.

Tonight, was my one training day at the local rock gym. During my endurance/base fitness block, this is my one strength maintenance day of the week, so I was amped to get some work done!

5:00 drank my delicious RagNOroc punch.....mmmmm.

5:30: Theraband shoulder mobility warmup
Hang board, mobility drills warmup

Bouldering pyramid - climbed V0 up to about V5, then worked V6-7 with two to three moves at limit of strength and power. Total of 12 climbs. Work to rest ratio of 1:5

Strength Circuit
One arm push-ups 3x6, hanging leg raises 3x10, pistol squats 3x5,

Finishers to failure: hanging side leg raises, neck to back bridge

Elbow P.T.: concentric reverse wrist curls and sledge pronations with isometric holds.

Total time: 2 hours

Absolutely awesome energy and focus. Technical climbing, precision hand and foot work combined with powerful one arm pulls and lock offs. Finished off some climbs that felt above my pay grade a couple weeks ago. Euphoric.

Also pr'd on circuit training. Less rest, more reps.

Felt like I could easily have trained for another hour or two...too early in the first block of my periodization program though.

Endurance, pumps, vascularity, focus, and mood boost to boot. Lovin it!

Last night I had a fun high rep prehab/recovery session. Focusing hard on each little muscle group, and squeezing out a crap ton of repetitions....

Thank you RagNOroc! Great focus. Great pump. Crazy vascularity.

Today, I was dragging all day, cutting atom consumption is slowly killing me! Lol. Psyched to train...but didn't have great expectations given my low energy all day...

7:00: sip on my delicious RagNOroc caffeine free Crush Punch...
7:30 pm: Week two of Endurance/base fitness block- endurance session #1:

Foam rolling, theraband mobility warmup.

Climbing warmup - sustained low level (about 120 bpm) climbing for 20 minutes.

Climbing Intervals - 4 sets of Max effort @ 2:1, work:rest ratio

Added climbing endurance finisher - medium paced sustained climbing for 20 minutes.

HIIT Circuit: 4 rounds of pull-ups, Arnold presses, squats, leg raises
-bicycle kicks, neck and back bridge finishers

P.T. - 3 sets of wrist curls and sledge pronations with isometric holds

Foam Roll, Self Massage, Stretch/yoga

With crap energy all day, and poor sleep for the week, I was still able to pull off a great two hour session. Added sets to my circuit, completed more of my climbing circuit, and added time to my cardio climbing.

Don't think I could have done all that without a solid preworkout like Rag backing me up!

The endurance with RagNOrok is really what stands out to me. I'm glad to see someone focused on that using and enjoying it!

I generally shy away from endurance training, but it's a short bloc at the beginning of my periodization. I enjoy it, but still question how relevant it is to my overall goals.

Either way RagNOroc is def helping me through it!

Next week is the endurance base peak week, and week two of Rag, so shtuff should get real interesting.

Agreed. I'm looking forward to seeing your thoughts by that point!

Another awesome high rep prehab/mobility workout last night!

Been sleeping like garbage, stressed at work, and weaning off stims....still able to max out reps higher on lat raises, reverse flys, rotator work, and grip work. Increased weight on sledge hammer rotations. Short rests, awesome endurance! Forearms we're PUMPED!

Seriously! Endurance is insane!

Last night I had an impromptu Date night / cheat meal - first in many months... Hand made corn tortillas double wrapped with fresh beef brisket , pulled pork, and tongue. Followed by a coffee ice cream sundae with chocolate covered espresso beans!

I had a lot of calories to work with, and I put them to good use this morning:
6:00 am
2nd week, 2nd workout of Endurance/Fitness base block.

Foam rolling, theraband mobility warmup.

Climbing warmup - sustained low level climbing for 20 minutes.

Climbing Intervals - 4 sets of Max effort @ 2:1, work:rest ratio

HIIT Circuit: 4 rounds of prone body weight rows, Ring dips, dumbbell straight leg deads , leg raises
-bicycle kicks, neck and back bridge finishers

P.T. - 3 sets of reverse wrist curls and sledge pronations with isometric holds

Foam Roll, Self Massage, Stretch/yoga.

Again - endurance was fantastic. I had to force myself to rest between circuits. Even after my two hour session, I had great energy and drive - and this is caffeine free!

Mirin' them tacos too! I make them a lot on Sunday night because both me and the future missus love them. Made some chicken tostadas last night. With a serving of chips apiece, we still came in at under 750 cals!

Eager to see how Rag treats you this week with the endurance peak!

Those look amazing! Good work!

Tonight is strength maintenance, but Wednesday is a looong enduro sesh! Can't wait!

Why does everyone else's meals look super good but the ones I make, I think they look like a chimpanzee made it?

It's funny. I post one or two meals a week on FB and everybody talks about how good they look and I should open a restaurant...blah, blah, blah. My response is that people don't see the other 85% of my meals that mainly consist of "What can I fit between these two pieces of bread?"

Truer words haven't been spoken. I'd say maybe 2 meals per week are picturesque. The others are sloppy attempts to get as much protein and clean-ish calories I can.

Last night I had a pm strength maintenance climbing/training session at the local rock gym.

Was exhausted and feeling heavy and slow, so I didn't have high expectations.

However, RagNOroc came through again with energy, focus and endurance.

Added sets and completed all prescribed reps for my lifts and body weight exercises. And I was even able to make some progress on climbing projects at the limits of my strength, power and skill.

2 hours flew by and I had energy to spare. Though by 10:00, lights out!

All right! Here we go! Peak endurance week! Endurance session 1 of 2 last night. (Strength block starts next week! Wha-what!)

Foam rolling, theraband mobility warmup.

Climbing warmup - sustained low level climbing for 20 minutes (up 10 from last week).
-felt great - seemed like more pump than usual.

Climbing Intervals - 4 sets of Max effort @ 2:1, work:rest ratio
-possibly impacted by pushing too hard on warmup. I still greatly bested my last peak endurance week performance, completing much more of my climbing circuits. But didn't quite squeeze out as much as my goal was set for.

HIIT Circuit: 5 rounds (up from 3 then 4) of pull-ups, Arnold presses, squats, leg raises
-bicycle kicks, neck and back bridge finishers
-1.5 hours in and focus was still high. Energy good. Completed all prescribed reps for extra sets added!

P.T. - 3 sets of wrist curls and sledge pronations with extended last sets and isometric holds -

Foam Roll, Self Massage, Stretch/yoga

I'm pretty sore this morning. Felt like RagNOroc really helped me push my limits last night. Focus, drive, and endurance were all higher than usual for me.

It's really interesting to see how the endurance factors in RagNOrok are working for a climber. I know I always use at least a 1/2 scoop before running 3-4 miles and I feel it helps with my breathing. But I really hate running so it might be a mental thing for me too :P

It's been awesome. 8-12 weeks of my training is strength and power. I normally really struggle, coming off the deload, right into 2-4 weeks of base fitness and endurance.

This has been the most manageable enduro blocks I've done. Even with calories still low, coming off a 3 month cut.

Not trying to derail the thread here, but did you use any thermo's for your cut? Looking to cut down some BF for a couple months and am looking for recommendations.

No worries. Yeah. Norcodrene/shift stack. Just finished up 8 week run to finish up the cut. Sprinkling of extra yohimbine and occasional ec stack thrown in as well.

I feel you bro, it was was 1700 bucks roughly when my wife and I got 5 hours of work done at the same time. Maybe a little less, but the USD conversion to GBP is not kind. Any reputable shop is gonna be 100£/hour at the least, so I get where you're coming from.
