The Bobby Abreu comment is right on and could be applied to most players..guilty of not being Derek Jeter!
 
Jeff Suppan is not that bad. He's not a dominant #1 starter and never has been but he's very good, and he's been pretty good this year.

Zito always starts off slow. It takes him a while to get command of his curve. Once he has command he's as good as anyone. He beat Johan Santana in the Play-Offs last year.

A lot of those guys are very overpaid and overrated though. Abreu is decent but not worth what the Yanks gave him. Bob Wickman robbed Atlanta without a gun.
 
Bull****, if Abreu belongs on that list for the reason he gave ,then AROD should be #1 on the list.
 
Adam Dunn needs to be on that list. I don't care if he hits 60 homers this year, it isn't worth the runs they lose by keeping him. He has no awareness in a left corner that he's been hiding in for a long time now. Add that to his chokes and so's, and he's just not worth the money he makes. The guy will hit 40+ dingers/year, and struggle to make 100 RBI's.

Arod is an amazing player who is statistically one of if not, the greatest ever!(Ruth,Bonds)

When you are in the middle of a 250 million dollar contract you will always be over paid(compared to me)

No player is more guilty of not being Derek Jeter than A-rod !

Playing him at third base, instead of shortstop where he is a gold glover, is like keeping Santana in the bullpen so you can start Clemens because Clemens has a few rings!
 
A-rod needs to be on a good team, playing short.

If that happens his confidence would be where is should be and people who be praising him for being the greatest player ever.
 
Andruw Jones is the best defensive center fielder in the game, hands down. Combine that with this bat and he is well work every penny.
