Back to basics with Epicurus

I'm late, but looking huge man! I need to try out some Epic again. I liked it the first time I tried it on a cut, it's good stuff.

Work has been super busy so when I get home I use it to play with my kid and cook some meals. My lifts had been insane though, even broke my PR for reps on bench. Not to mention my back is still injured and my right wrist is painful as hell... I'm getting really old.

With all my nagging injuries all my lifts yesterday were super solid. Nothing was forced and my mind muscle connection was on point. One of the best chest workouts I had. I look forward to days like those. I can tell I'm peaking so I might try to break my 1rm if it comes naturally within the next 2 weeks

Ever have a hot towel laid on the small on your back during electro stims, it's amazing!

Does wonders for my back.
I wish it was that simple. I'm going to get some x-ray on Friday but it won't show anything for sure. I need an MRI but no way I'll pay for 1k to tell me what disk is bad (maybe next year if I decide to get a surgery). For now I'd rather use the money to pay for epidural shots.

I respond very well to epi and have also ran several versions. Today was my 4th day overall and 3rd workout with Epicurus, and can without a doubt say I felt it today. And the extreme sweating kicked in as well. Always something epi does to me is make me a stupid sweaty mess.
Well the sweating wasn't as bad for me after the first two dose. I'm good now minus my back problem. I'm lifting but I have to readjust hand position and exercise a lot when I feel my back is affected in any way.

I never used it for a cut but it would help for sure. With the added capacity to push more volume you can easily crank the intensity up on a cal deficit.

I use (-)-epi all the time when I do a maintenance/slow bulk after a cycle. For health reasons too, I prefer it over ara which is my other favorite natty cycle.

I feel ya goodvibes I tore a muscle in my upper back when I was younger nothing serious. Doctor said they were micro tears or some crap like that. Now I have a ton of scar tissue built up in there and my back is always hurting. There's really nothing I can do to make it stop. Just gotta work through it. I hope for your sake it's nothing serious.
Keep killin it man. You're doing awesome.

Thanks brotha. I've had this for years. Some years are bad but I had a good run of over 4 yrs without aggravating it too bad and heal up within weeks. Right now I can work around it and I can still get up my bed. Before I couldn't even walk lol

I'm actually beating my PR off cycle and at least 10lbs lighter so yeah I'm not doing bad at all. I don't like doing legs that much anyways haha

Yeah getting stronger off cycle is a great feeling. Let's you know you're keeping them gains!

Same here. It's been close to 10 years or more. I remember having to sit out of baseball practices cause I couldn't bend over or swing a bat. It sucks. I used to get cortisone shots and they helped a lot. Well for a month atleast. But I had to stop cause they are freaking expensive. So I just work through it. It's the biggest reason I don't sleep at night.

Been a really busy week but I've been Killin it at the gym.

Back day was good, very similar to my last week's performance. Right now I'm focusing on getting a bigger bench so all my other lifts are accessory work for my bench. My current weekly splits has changed a bit to this:

Day 1: heavy duty chest
Day 2: back high volume
Day 3: shoulders high volume
Day 4: bis/tris/hypertrophy back workout I'm also hitting some chest when I do tris with Dips & close grip benching
Day 5: rest
Repeat

I'll upload my PR for my current bodyweight though. I just hit 315 weighing at 173lbs. Really proud of myself for that.

Damn man I only weigh 5 pounds less then you, but my max is about 70 pounds less haha

Strong work bro!

That sucks man. At th3 moment I can't bend over to tie my shoes or even put it on. I sit down and work it one hand at a time. Prior to this my squats and deads were peaking. I hit well above 400 pulling and squatting over 300 at. Now I'm skipping all of that just so I can go back to normal. Waiting on my scans to come in this week and see what the doc says

Hey fellas, my bad for lack of updates this week. I got me some vids, been looking bulkier this week. My carb intake is 3x higher now but my protein I'm dropping a little because I can't eat as much. Still incorporating my greens, fruits and high fiber intake.

What I added to my diet: 3 rice krispies bar w/ post workout protein shake , cup of rice w/ post workout meal, peanut butter sandwich (4-5tbsp of peanut butter on one slice of bread) prebed with 12oz milk 2%.

My volume is getting higher. I will not flood the log with all my lifts but I'll keep it simple. My benchmark to gauge my performance this next few months will be my chest workout and the mirror. If I work on bringing up my squat number I would run a different program which requires me to squat at least 3x/week but I'm more into bodybuilding not really powerlifting so it's the basic one body part split a day. It works for me in building mass.

I still don't knw how to crop or blur my face on my video so here's a quick update with my most muscular. 3lbs heavier compared to my initial pic

Good luck, it does take time but the journey is the fun part. I love to lift and it's part if my lifestyle the past 10 yrs. Just stay consistent with it

Very true sad thing is i always have been consistent 10 years myself but definitely been a lot of trial and error for routines and macros
Always got my protein in though one way or another
But I think I also got way to worried about pump work too much and need to really work on strength soon so my pump work will be heavier when I return to it
It's a journey not always pretty but worth it when I can be jacked when I'm older I suppose

I work out with a few dudes, one is 45 yrs old more jacked than I am. He broke his bench record just last year so there goes age limit.

As for programming, initially I join3d the gym cause I wanted to be stronger than all my friends but I ended up growing more. I still train to be strong but it's not my main focus anymore. Winter I gain and break my records, summer time I work hard to shed winter fat. Every year it's been getting easier for me to lose weight because my diet is getting cleaner every year

Some updates, stepped on a scale this AM and I'm up 6 lbs. Wtf I didn't expect that at all. I'm fully pumped up. I was planning to take a few days off the gym because of my back problem but my body is growing so I have to roll with it. Maybe after this log I'll run a deload week or just take a full week off cause physically I need a rest. My mind wants to keep going but I know I need to rest.

My arm routine is all over the place so I can't even type it down here. I normally use about 30mins for bicep curls at the beginning then I start getting crazy with volume and supersets.

Close grip pullups, Dips, close grip bench, and rows are all part of my routine "arm day". I do treat it as a hypertrophy day for back and chest too.

Still benching over 300 on flat and going strong. I'll do a speed check tomorrow so I know if I'm done peaking.

So... turns out I can't get away from the gym cause I'm addicted. Plan B is workout 2 days on, one day off. My epicurus dosing is still the same. 2 preworkout but on off days I split them up to two dose. My strength is up for sure.

Just for fun here's my relaxed pose after a good hypertrophy day. Went with tris, bis, hypertrophy back and chest.

Hey Goodvibes

Respect man I am 5,7" and you look freaking awesome manimal!

What dose you taking 2caps per day?
I am on 2 caps per day in one bolus dose at the moment. I still want to split it up because I know it's ideal but I also want the higher performance at the gym.

So now I'll just rely on diet throughout the day to stay anabolic. Then using epicurus preworkout for that extra strong kick to my workouts.

Did chest two days ago and my strength is up still. But I'm already deload ing this week to take the safe road and heal up.

Chest routine:

135 x 12
155 x 10
185 x 8
225 x 6
245 x 4
275 x 4
295 x 6 (PR)
245 x 5
225 x 8

Incline DBS

Stayed with 100lb DBS for 4 sets of 10

Flyes
5 sets of 12-16

Dips
4 sets of 12

Looking back to the beginning of this log and I'm 2-3days short. I think I took a second dose in the afternoon a few times. I tend to forget if I took one midday during rest days

And here's my review for the product:

Effectiveness = 10/10

Basing this in comparison to the other epicath3cin products I've tried it's top notch.

I really gained some strength towards week 3-4. I did eat at a surplus for sure but I didn't count. I was eating the same amount of protein while I was on a diet but my fat and carb intake doubled if not tripled towards the end of the month.

Price = average, it's the same range as other epicathecin products.

All the strength I lost during this year's cut came back quicker. Last year I had to run a strong lift program just to get my bench up around 275lbs again. Imo my muscle is also denser and with an extra 5-8lbs in bodyweight I'm stronger than ever. It really complimented my training style and strength goals.
