Unfortunately, no...because they run on two different sites, each with their own Word Press, mailing service, etc. More so, once the orders are placed, they are sent to be processed. This happens twice daily...and after that happens, the order cannot be changed. Orders can be changed before they are processed, but this would require my office manager to carefully watch both sites all day long to see if someone placed an order on both sites...and then make the adjustments before they are processed.
The only other option would be to send a refund check after the order is processed, but it takes about 2 weeks for the bank to issue a refund in the mail, so we couldn't even send the refund check with the person's order. We would have to issue a refund separately, which means more shipments....plus having to remember to send the refund (since there is not a system which automatically monitors and sends refunds). In short, if I were to begin combining orders from both sites, my office manager would need to spend several extra hours each day just making sure this was accomplished.
I don't remember what the exact amount is, but both sites do offer free shipping once a certain amount is spent. And...no guarantee, but if my office manager does notice that a customer placed an order on both sites on the same day...and she catches it before the orders are processed, so usually does remove one of the shipping charges. With that said, you can always shoot over a quick email (use the Contact Us tab on the website) immediately after placing both orders...and if she sees the email before they are processed, she'll combine shipping. Again, there is no guarantee, but you can try if you want.
