Also, just so you know, I do know Martin, but the book really is incredible....

Kenflo quote

Here is a quote from KenFlo about the book

"Hi Martin:

I am happy to say that I did receive the book and it is amazing. I am
very impressed with the material you have on there but I am not
surprised. You and the guys did an awesome job with the book and the
time and effort you guys put into it really shows. That is a huge
project. This book shows what a huge resource you are to that team and
the athletes in that area. You have it all in that book. Now, people can benefit from your knowledge all over the world by reading this
resource. As someone who has seen the benefit of innovative,
functional, and sport specific exercises, I think you are giving
people a tremendous advantage in their MMA training with this book.
Congratulations!!

Kenny Florian"

Paid endorsement IMO.

Martin is a friend of mine and I'm doing this as a favor.
And he certainly did not pay Kenny.
He has a lot of pros in the book who he actually trains on a regular basis by the way.
Demonstrating the exercies are
Roger, Rolles, Igor and Gregor Gracie, Braulio Estima, Jamal Patterson, Fabio Leopoldo....
He trains Ricardo Almeida several times a week...
Martin doesn't write about what he doesn't know about.
He doesn't train a guy once and say that is his client. He walks out to the ring with these guys and is the real deal.
Kenny gave him this endorsement after he got a preview copy of the book and after Martin's first book changed his outlook on preparing for fights.

Well now I just feel stupid....:o
I defend Martin cause he really works with a lot of fighters.

So many 'MMA' S&C guys out there have never trained mma or an mma fighter....
Not that you necessarily need to but some guys misrepresent themselves IMHO. Martin isn't one of them.
Anyway, You can thumb through the book in any barnes and noble to get an idea of it's quality

Yeah, Martins a cool guy, I ordered the dvd training for warriors about a year or two ago, and he wrote me a handwritten thank you note.

I just want to say in my opinion Martin's a good trainer, I think at the root of his method is the speed and strength training he learned while on the olympic bobsled team. The rest he's built up over the years training Renzo Gracie's fight team for MMA competition.
I know I posted a sample workout of his on here a while ago, I don't really start too many threads so it'd prolly be easy to find.

His new book has a nice 8 week progression using 2 strength workouts a week and 2 conditioning. It uses his 'hurricane' conditioning. Anyway, I think it's a nice and realistic look at what you can do if you are also doing mma/boxing/bjj/thai/wrestling/judo whatever. A lot of fighters claim some crazy training and workouts but this is what Martin actually does. It also starts you out at a decent level and doesn't jump right into an impossible workout.

I actually think I'm going to order this after going over the preview. Seems like a good book.

EDIT: Yup. Just ordered it.

I haven't gone through much of it yet, but it looks like the workouts are killer. Right now I'm in the middle of running P90X (which I thought would be absolute trash but it's by far the best workout routine I've ever done) Once I finish the 90 days of that I'm going to start putting together stuff from this book.
