Controversy regarding the supposed toxicity and safety of artificial ingredients such as Aspartame and MSG in our products has been a long-standing and only continued to further separate opposing parties. It doesn't seem either party can agree on much other, but I wanted to get a feel for where everyone on here stands.
I, personally, try to keep things as close to nature as possible and opt for organic and/or non-GMO. I try to avoid artificial ingredients of any sort, but I also understand my control diminishes greatly when I dine out, especially in highly commercialized food chains.
If possible, please provide your reasoning and any empirical data you may have come across to substantiate your argument in favor of or against the use of artificial ingredients. Conversations are always far more interesting when reputable research is cited, don't you think?
