high carbs diets aren't bad for you. As they said in the article, which kinds of carbs you eat as well as what you eat them with (protein, fats) makes all the difference. Unless you are training for a competition, complex carbs are a very good idea to have plenty of.
The question I have for gluten-free fanatics is this: What the heck did you do about gluten foods just 10 years ago, when gluten-free options were only for those with auto-immune diseases!?!?! How, just how in the world can 10's of millions of people all of the sudden have gluten issues from eating the same freggin foods that they have always eaten for years on end?!?! --> I'll tell you how, MARKETING. PLOY.
I have psoriasis, and I've cut all gluten and in result of this I've had less flare ups and it seems to be getting better. But, then again it is an AID![]()
I have psoriasis, too. The absolute best drug I have ever used for it is Clobetastol Proprionate. Absolutely demolished my psoriasis on my leg and arm and I haven't seen it come back in 8 years now - until recently I had a small flare up that was trigger by a small infection due to a bug bite, lol. The Clob Prop killed that too.

Science does not discriminate. This is athe same argument someone would use to say "well we used to eat lead in some of our foods and now all of a sudden people are not eating lead, pfft so what." I know it's an extreme example but it's pretty simple really. That **** has always been bad for you, just because people used to do it does not mean that it's good for us now. People though the world was flat too. The more research the better we can avoid these things for better health.
I should have probably clarified that for sedentary individuals high carb is bad. It hasn't been proven that high carb is bad for active individuals as the metabolic process associated with carbohydrate changes drastically when exercise is involved, and I also don't think it's bad when exercise is involved.
Please don't blow a valve, but there is a lot of evidence to support the fact that high carb diets are just plain **** for you if you are sedentary. Period. If you don't believe me you are more than welcome to go to the diabetics societies all around the world and see how high carb prescription diets have failed greatly in treating them and obesity. (both are inter-related as diabetes mellitus is diet induced). This is a big issue at the moment and I discuss it frequently with my health science and bio-chemistry conveyors.
I'll agree with that. It's a perspective that is worth noting.
On the other hand, about the high carb diet being bad for sedentary people...well, perhaps the issue isn't the diet then, but rather the sedentary lifestyle.
I'm not counting the elderly and sick. I understand. Not everyone can kill it in the gym and track every day. But hey, for those who have no genetic or age-based illnesses - get to it! No excuses! And for the record, my valves are tightly secured with extra locktite.
