Article: Whey Prices Continue To Rise

Interesting article, I hope to see some scientific backing in the near future to a cheaper protein alternative... I've had that Quorn stuff before and it actually tastes pretty good but I hear some people have bad reactions to it.
 
I place a lot of blame on Gatorade for this issue (I despise them, so there's some bias here). Their move to put whey in a few of their products put notice out that there is a much higher demand than ever before. Whey is now the oil of this industry, relatively speaking. It's something that's insanely difficult to force change as a consumer. We simply have to deal with it.
