Why don't you just do your own due diligence and find some for yourself. It's out there. Besides, how many obese people have you seen sucking down diet pop and having no success of their "diet"? Lots. I agree that diet soda can be a nice, (for a lower calorie mixer for booze), but other than the occasional drink, it tastes like ****, is linked to all sorts of undesirable things, and makes you look like a weak ass *****. Just have the real thing as a "treat", the way pop was meant to be drunk anyway. If you are looking for a habit drink- choose water.

Yeah, this article is complete garbage. Anyone recommending drinking diet soda instead of water should be beaten senseless. The sad thing is there are a lot of people out there that will see something like this and embrace it as truth. Many people can't filter through this crap using their own common sense. People love to hear that their bad habits are ok.

Just remember a lot of those artificial sweetners and flavorings might be in your preworkout, protein, branched chains, etc. As well

That's a good point. At this point, I have shunned everything except for natural quick energy foods and coffee or green tea for "pre workout". What's funny is that I still work out just as hard and continue to improve without all the supplement money pits.

While I doubt there is any scientific study comapring the two directly, there is enough evidence on aspartame and sucrulose to back his claim. The part that totally blew me away was about the coffee. What a god damn joke...

You also forgot the artificial sweeteners in diet soda which are dangerous if taken in large quantities
