Article: USE THE DUMBBELL PULLOVER FOR MONSTER GAINS

The included video link from the article is the WRONG way to do the exercise. Who the hell would speak about doing an exercise correctly for a 3rd of an article just to add a video showing the incorrect way to do it
 
I love this exercise. I've been doing it since I started lifting in high school. My father, who was able to bench 500 pounds, showed me how to do it.
 
I read an article that said the dumbell pullover primarily works the tricepts, and that it is not that great of a chest builder.
 
agree'd mechka hes doing more of a tricept extension and close chest press, your supposed to keep your elbows slightly bent and locked and let the dumbbell move freely as you pull it from behind to above your chest, ive used this for years, it does bring out good pumps and stretches the lats and chest and when you can control it right it does work right, but this video is horrible for demonstration.
 
a study done with emg found the pullover was mostly a triceps exercise...pretty sure I even saw it on this newsletter a while back...
 
I do this exercise and really love it. I focus on squeezing hands together and down and focusing on my chest as I raise over my head and to my lower pecs... I must say, I think my form is better than the guy in the video though.

The guys at AM didnt make the video, a private instructional video outfit did. The guy instructing the dude doing the move obviously didnt know the correct form either. The whole goal in pec pullovers is to move elbows as little as possible, I think 90% of us on this site know that.Do you know how hard it must be to find articles to put on this site everyday? Ya the odd stinker makes it through sometimes. Jeez dont take it so hard soldier.
 
Only time ive ever used pullovers was on the milk and squats routine. After a set of squats you do high rep pullover to help expand the ribcage. Or so in theory. Was a great routine for packing on size fast but honestly i didn't feel the pull over hitting any muscles at all. Your just so gassed from the 20 rep squats that the extra pullovers just tire your lungs out.
