Article: Understanding 5/3/1 Training

been doing the 5/3/1 for 4 months now and i love it,
deload week sucks and it usually end up as a bodybuilding week.

My question is: would it be a good idea to do it like this 5/3/1/5/3/1/deload/5/3/1... or take the deload week completly out.
thanks

Making assumptions here but I'm guessing you're not an elite lifter. So doing the deload after two cycles wouldn't kill you (don't take it out entirely!). But as your numbers go up and your progress slows you may need to revaluate the change. There are other factors that play into this as well. How physically demanding your job is, supps you're on, ect. Lifting isn't an exact science feel free to experiment brah

I never do the deload week, but I do the 3-day a week template and after the final workout if the 1's week I take a workout day off completely. It works well for me. It gives me a full mesocycle in a month, same as the 4-day a week template.

I've been doing 531 for a month now. Planned it right too because this is my deload week. I've been mixing it with a modified fst7 scheme where I do four sets of an isolation exercise followed by 3 of a compound.
