Article: Tips To Burn More Fat

Stopped reading at "...spread over five, six or even seven smaller meals." Can't believe people are STILL spouting this nonsense!

Johnston, the author wasn't stating that eating smaller frequent meals speeds fat loss, but rather that spreading out protein intake throughout the day makes it easier to ingest daily requirements for maintenance. Everyone should know by now that eating a dozen times a day does nothing to increase fat loss.

I personally would find it far more of a hassle eating lots of meals rather than 2-3 with a protein shake or two if required. Far easier hitting your macros that way, and I've found that's true for most people. Anyone I know who's tried the 5+ small meals a day ends up cursing it lol!

I eat around 5-7 times a day. Mainly because I'm always hungry though! I've always been that way. I don't drink protein shakes, even though I probably should. I eat alot of fish and lean beef, and quite a bit of beef liver. Mostly fruits after workouts, and rice or potatoes for complex carbs throughout the day. I eat up until I hit the sack for the evening. Just something I got used to doing. But, yes. I know people who find it a hassle to eat at ALL during the day, let alone try to eat 5 times or more. There's a guy I work with that only eats one or two candy bars a day and if his wife doesn't cook before he gets home he just skips dinner... I don't know how he's still alive. lol

It is really hard to eat that way unless you pre plan and prep meals. I've done it your way and I've bought hundreds of ziplock containers to prep meals. This week I decided on shakes in between meals but I frequently change it up.

You've done it my way (2-3 meals) and bought hundreds of ziplock containers to prep meals? How's that? 5+ meals I can see this, but 2-3 bigger meals is far easier, especially as I'm assuming you can have breakfast first thing so no need to transport that. Personally, I do IF so lunch is my first meal (which is a big one) then dinner later. Sometimes protein shake/bar in afternoon if required. Works for me.

HUNDREDS OF CONTAINERS FOR PREPPING MEALS? Who were you feeding? Yourself and King Kong? It really isn't that bad. I eat three times at work and take two containers or one large one to fit it in. Raw eggs and fruit for breakfast (raw because I am too lazy to cook. Just being honest.) I eat when I'm hungry at work throughout the day, then I usually eat 2 or three more meals at night when I get home. I don't go crazy planning. I try to eat fish (tuna or salmon) twice a day, beef or chicken at night with vegetables and rice/ potatoes. You just get used to it after a while. Not that the way I do it means eating three times a day is the wrong way to go or anything, but if I personally only eat three times a day I would starve. I just had breakfast 20 minutes ago and I'm ready to eat again. It happens. lol.

Hundreds of containers may be an bit exaggerated but quite a lot. I prep all my meals Sunday usually veggies and a lean meat. At night I will sometimes makes something else. It works quite well.

I stopped eating 6-7 meals a day out of inconvenience and moved to an IF/CBL type schedule for the sole reason of ease and not needing to think about food all the time even though I love to eat. Blown away at how easy it is and the results. Leaner, stronger (hitting PRs now), and more energy. I'll never go back.
