I like the idea of timed sets here, and I think I intuitively have been doing this--I do a hypertrophy-style arms day every other week, and when I do each exercise I adjust my rep range to get a good pump each set. This gives me something more to measure my sets, adding the timed aspect.
My only major hesitation is the choice of triceps exercises here, because the pullover motions work lats more than triceps, at least the Cable Incline Pullovers, which are very much like a straight-arm lat pull down with cables. When I do the latter exercise I feel tension in my triceps for sure, but when I am trying to isolate my arms on an arm day...well, I try to isolate my arms, not do compound lifts like pullovers (which I do like, in general!).
(I know this is a T-Nation article, and the author won't respond, but whatever haha).
