Article: The Results of Overtraining

It's pretty easy to gauge when you're pushing yourself too hard. If you start regressing( lifting less weight than the previous week) it's time to take a few days off. Don't do cardio and don't lift. Just relax

Most people don't overtrain. They get tired. They're not eating enough. They're not sleeping enough. They're not overtraining.

Did anyone else laugh about rats performing resistance training. I have a mental picture of a rat barbell squaring. Haha

I do not believe in this... so lets say you need to squat 500lbs and bench 400 to get ur family back and your 50lbs away in each. Would u do it once a week to achieve the quickest result.... I dont think so!!!!

But how much is too much?
I dont really take days off, but I do give each muscle group 72 hours before i work it again (other then calves which is every other day)
I would think thats plenty of time and a day off is unneeded

Of course you can overtrain, if you couldn't then people who worked out 24 hours a day would make the most gains

so what would u do then?

If I were in a situation where I had to perform a barbell squat to get my family back, I would simply pinch myself and wake up from the dream.

Maybe you could pitch this as a movie idea and they could turn it into a Taken movie. They are going to sell his wife and daughter into sex slavery unless he can squat 500 pounds lol

From the people who brought you Taken and Pumping Iron..
