Article: The 4 Most Damaging Types of Training

talks about powerlifting amd bodybuilding as if its bad for you, very few injuries occur and when they do its due to lack of structure, lifting too heavy and nkt following your bodies signals for pain, whats more lethal to the body is sitting on your couch eating junkfood watchung eastenders

I love when crossfitters brag about their workouts. I'm almost 100% positive you doing 100 power cleans consecutively is bad for your body even though it might sound cool. I do think a lot of it comes from the new people and the "weekend trained" coaches not ensuring proper technique. And if you want to see how sensitive and insecure these crossfitters are just crack a joke about their program or diet and then sit back and enjoy the show

Show me a powerlifter or bodybuilder that has been in the game for a long time and hasn't been injured or dealing with some sort of injury? It's inherent in these sports.

I agree w/ the last snippet, though.

. Yea every pro I know or retired body builder has had an injury of some sort. It just happens less cause people that body build are very disciplined and more focused on technique. Not to mention they probably have a personal coach that focuses just on them. People in crossfit will lose fat and get stronger but it's more risky due to improper technique because of the fast pace and lack of knowledge. The reason I say crossfitters get so sensitive is because the serious ones get a bad rep due to all the amateurs that come in and try to throw weight around.

You are probably correct on the injury issue with the sports, however anything that keeps you from training for more than 2 weeks is considered an injury, it happens, with heavy weights and repetitive muscle tearing the risk of injury is always their,

however ,the weighting of this risk lightened substantially with proper form, rest, training structure and diet, statistics don't account for these parameters they assume all gym goers that chuck weights around are classified as bodybuilders,

theirs also the fact that you grow through minor injuries and become stronger theirs no other way to get big and strong without shifting weight around consistently following the above mentioned parameters

however as I said listening to your body and stopping at the first signs of sharp pain will prevent injuries, its about training smarter, adding neccesary mobility work

Running is a strange animal, but, bodyweight is the single greatest factor in running injuries whether it be fat or muscle. It's also wise to know your motivation for running in the first place then you need to know your body's capability. It's the difference between stress and eustress, some pain is good because it means you're leaning into your edge. But causing needless pain to brag about a training sesh that no-one gives a rat's ass about is just dumb.

Do everything. Run, bodybuild, powerlift. I personally love it all. However, cardiovascular fitness and conditioning seems to make me want to kill myself. One exercise in particular makes me want to puke. The burpee
