Article: STARBUCKS IS TRYING TO GO PALEO

Thank you for ruining my day! I haven't had a latte in over four years since I had to give up dairy due to my ulcerative colitis, and I had been rejoicing in the thought of coconut milk providing my latte salvation....until now.

You can still use real coconut milk if you want to make your own coffee. You need to look at the ingredients list on products that you expect to be healthy. In supermarkets where I live, there are about four brands of almond milk available. I think two of them have just almonds and water, the others have added sugar. They are all brands that are supposedly health food manufacturers.
Also, if you are lactose intolerant, it doesn't mean you have to stop drinking milk or having dairy products. You can take lactase enzymes so you can digest the lactose. You can also still use good quality whey protein isolate, it has virtually no lactose in it.

Carrageenan is bad stuff. I've been seeing it creep in to more products lately and it is a concern. But I rarely come across people who've even heard of it. The word needs to be spread about this stuff...
