Article: Should You Do Direct Arm Training?

I started out as a power lifter to enhance football performance. No direct arm work. My arms blow When it comes to looks. Too small for my delts and chest and overall upper body thickness.

Direct arm work has brought them up. They still suck but their much better. Had I done direct arm work with powerlifting I think they'd probably be symmetrical.

Moral of the story: this is a stupid argument. Unless your blessed and you have 20" arms by benching and rowing do direct arm work.

I am 6'2". I used to not do direct arm work. Counting on the fact that I did a lot of pull ups and weighted pull ups. My arms were lacking. Then I started doing 3 sets of concentration curls and three sets of hammer curls. Boom in 6 weeks my arms caught up to everything else.

From the age of 15 to 30 I did bodybuilding and my arms were pretty big for a natural. For 2 and a bit years I have been powerlifting with only doing some close grip bench and skull crushers for triceps. My biceps have gotten smaller but everywhere else has got bigger. Since last week I have added some curls to try and bring my biceps back up. I do think you need direct arm work if you are bothered how you look naked.

^ you need to look good naked to have good looking arms?? Did I miss something here? Hahaha

Who wants a big chest, back, shoulders and legs with small arms? Would you look good if you had big upper body and chicken legs?

I think what he means is if you're not happy with the way you look naked, then surely bringing up your arm development would ameliorate the situation to some degree.
