Article: RACK PULLS OR DEADLIFTS FOR A THICKER BACK?

Yeah no more full deadlifts for me anymore. Back surgery (microdisctect-omy) on l4-l5 and I'm just a little nervous about loading up but rack pulls are a great way to stimulate the body and let it "feel" some heavy weight. 3 plates is very comfortable and I never push it too hard though if it feels strong on any particular day I could add another plate and finish heavy... After bent rows and a full back session.. I use extensions to really work the erectors...

Love rack pulls.... Amazing for adding strength to deadlifts or even standalone exercise.

Managed to pull 660lb not long ago.
