Lol at faster speed eccentric contractions so just let the weight ****ing drop? Author claims this is backed by research yet cites no studies. I agree with everything he's said but don't tell me fast eccentrics release more GF, etc people will get the wrong ****ing idea
 
Jeremy, thats jacob wilson, he is a respectable figure in research of muscle physiology. He provides citations, they are in the original article hence the random numbers in the paragraphs.

Think about it like this: With weight training, it's all about force. Mass times acceleration. The faster something moves, the more force it generates. You're placing more "force" on the muscles and joints when you're handling a load at a higher speed. He didn't say "drop it to your chest/the floor." But, rather to "control" it at a speed no slower than 3 seconds or so. Physics, brah.
