Article: Low Carb Raises Cardiovascular Risks

44000 swedish women kept a food diary for ~15 years? Nope. They filled out an annoying exit interview questionnaire during a checkup, somehow attempting to recollect and succinctly convey their dietary habits going back over a decade. Average people have been convinced low carb is healthy for years, average people believe they consume less carbs and more protein than they do in reality. Has anyone seen that kashi commercial with the new cereal and all these women are shown freaking out because it has as much protein as *gasp* AN EGG!?!?!?!?

The other day an otherwise intelligent buddy of mine didn't think there were any carbs in twizzlers or candy in general. He said there were no carbs in milk, ice cream or cheesecake. How absurd that these guys trust average people to provide a self-assessment of their carb intake vs. protein intake. In what world is this science? I'd say it barely passes the burden of proof for acceptable journalism.
