Article: Losing Fat As Fat As Possible

Yeah carbs are just as important as protein, anyway ever since i started taking probiotics I've been taking these massive 3 foot long dumps. Its pretty great

Old advice but great advice. Good article, and still imo the best and quickest way to drop fat and best way to spare muscle while cutting.

So whats the consensus on this? Does it work for someone incredibly insulin sensitive or is it just fad science?

Is this good for a life style change, or incorporate carbs back into to hit maintenance when u hit desired weight?
Didnt realize the first question posted so this was redundant

Mentzer would eat mainly carbs even for contest prep and he was lean as a mofo! Its all about calories in vs out. Carbs are protein sparring so this causes a Lowe need of protein. Low carb is a fad and not healthy considering eating high amounts of protein makes the body acidic.

What... Carbs means u can eat less protein? Not sure where u got that from. Protein should be constant every day. Manipulate your total cals with carbs but protein should always be high. Just bc one guy ate carbs during prep doesn't mean that's the way it's done 9/10 times

The only way I do this diet is as a CKD. Weekly or bi-weekly carb ups on the weekend --- not only does this super-fill your glycogen stores, but it makes the diet VERY doable if you allow yourself to eat carbs on the weekend. And yes this diet works for everyone and is not fad science.

The CKD and anabolic diet have been around for ages and followed by thousands of people.

This is straight up bull$hit

It's physiology bro. Stop listening to bro science. Science has shown that the body can only utilize 30 grams of protein at each meal. Any more than that gets stored as energy. The meat and protein powder industry promotes the protein myth because it's profitable. It wasn't just one guy lol think Dorian Yates and many others who have listened to the Mentzer. And yes, physiology makes jr very clear that if we eat sufficient amount of carbs that we require less protein regardless if a person is sedentary or very active. But believe what you want. I get amazing results eating more carbs and less protein than when I followed illogical bro science.

Lol you obviously have done zero scientific research and probably never studied human physiology. Dorian Yates and Mike Menter and Marcus Reinhart all eat high carb diets and were/ate LEAN. Mentzer also bragged that while his Mr Olympian opponents where starving themselves or eating low carb diets while being miserable because of the carb depletion he'd be eating pancakes, cookies, fruits and cake for breakfast because he knew that carbs are protein sparring and that as long has he kept his calories at the right amount he'd get lean. He's living proof and so are many others. But believe what you like (are told).

Low carbs diets cause fat loss for the first two weeks and then it halts because thyroid hormones drop because they are dependent on carbs. Also, a lot of the weight lost on low carbs is mainly water and will be back once
Carbs are introduced.

Science > Bro science

So you are saying EVERYONE should eat alot of carbs ... no matter their physiology or body type? CKD is effective long term if us CARB UP one a week to replenish glycogen level. When you go to long on low carbs Leptins levels drop and fat loss drops... but the carb up short circuits that response. Some people can cut on carbs somd have to drop them to cut. What you are spewing is not science. You are basically saying Lyle McDonald is an idiot.

Well one things for sure, carbs are the most disputed thing out there in the nutrition world! I am carb cycling but I couldn't even say if that's the best thing for me? I don't know which side I'm on in the carb debate, but I like to sit back and listen!!

lol.. your body can only handle 30 grams of protein in one sitting... and you are calling out peeps for bro science...

factors determining utiilation of for optmimal protein synthesis are going to be numerous...

Pretty good article from a knowledable source if you would like to learn more...

All i can say is low carb is the way to go for me. Over 13 years of gym its the fastest way to a shredded look. I do however have a carb loaded postworkout meal every day I hit the gym.

If you actually read what I wrote you'd see that I said it comes down to calories in vs calories out. Why carb cycle and lose precious muscle because of the catabolic state that is created without carbs and instead of decreasing carbs. It seems people think these extreme diets are going to give then unbelievable results when in reality they struggle really hard to get the same results as those who watch their Kcals. Look at all the pro and Olympian athletes. They're lean as hell and consume copious amount of calories often times consisting of high carb intake.

This study was done recently and was posted on AM a few weeks ago. They gave participants 0-10-20-40grams of whey post workout. Post workout is when the muscles are ready to utilize and uptake protein as quick as possible for repair, but guess what? There was no difference between 20-40 grams of protein in regards to protein synthesis and utilization. Remember the muscles are only composed of 22-25% amino acids/protein and the rest is GLYCOGEN and water-carboHYDRATE. I don't believe Layne Norton is natural nor is he a good source but that's just my view.
