Article: Insect Protein As Good As Soy

Say what you will and it sound gross but in all honesty whats the difference in where is comes from as long and the amino acid profile and basic over quality of the protein is equal ground up in a bar you would never know.
 
I have tried mealworms, grasshoppers and crickets. Grasshoppers were the best. They tasted similar to shrimp. I have heard the really big hoppers actually taste like lobster.
 
I have had my fair share of insects. When growing up as a child in the ghettos of Mexico we would catch grasshoppers and crickets, roasting then over a fire. Good snack and taste wasn't bad for a free meal. The best were the brown june bugs, they taste very sweet.
 
So about trying this out one day!
 
its better than ****....which is usually about ~70% undigested raw proteins...the rest is usually fiber depending on the animal....bugs dont sound so bad
