Article: Hitting Single Digit Bodyfat

High carbs for single digit fat loss. Lol for fat ketosis and water retention on your next show bud.

needing carbs for workouts is a half truth. The body can covert bodyfat and Protien to glucose ... just the process is slow. I 0 carb train heavy... and yes i hit what i call the CARB WALL.... but i fight through it. drink some BCAAS .. maybe rest a few minutes... then i am back at 100%

Low carb is bs. The people who low carb are usually always twigs. Bodybuilders only low carb a few weeks out from a show and then carb up a day before the show.

if your body goes insulin crazy when you ingest carbs and or your body doesnt use insulin well ,,, then yes getting shredded means keeping insulin levels low... and keeping carbs low.... it depends on your body. i cant shredd on 250 grams of carbs of day... i have to stay under 50. Everyone has a different chemistry.. I WISH i could shredd to 5% BF eating alot of carbs... i would do my happy dance.

Keto is better for people who are over 12%-15% because of their insulin sensitivity is not optimal. If your lean and wanting to get even leaner than you better cut fat cause carba are more anabolic than fats, thus muscle sparing.

I partially agree with this ^^^^! There are people who carb cycle that are jacked though!

Yes the body CAN do this, but fatty acids floating around in the blood stream need oxygen to be transported to the muscle cell. During weight-lifting, we call this "anaerobic", which means "without oxygen".

So fats need oxygen, but lifting weights is done without oxygen.

I'll let u figure out the rest.

EXACTLY. U can get down to really low bf with carb TIMING and then help push out some water and prime the muscles for supersaturation when the carb up happens.

The issue here isnt the approach but rather a metabolic deficiency/syndrome.

If u do high carbs, u cant also have high fats and u still have to time those carbs right. Placing them right in the middle of a lipolytic window makes no sense but placing them 60-90 minutes out from a workout makes perfect sense because they are muscle sparing by nature.

Another key component ^^^

Insulin sensitivity.

Carb cycling / timing is key. You don't need 250g carbs or anywhere near this. 50g of carbs a day, split around your workout, with a weekly / bi-weekly refeed and you're golden. I do this, and I am not a twig.. lmao at the guy who posted that. He has no idea what he is talking about.

Really, u can get to single digit bf a number of ways.

Fasting
Low carb
Low fat

Or all three at different times of the day (that's what I do)

The problem I have is really around muscle-sparing effects. Low carb just doesn't do it for me since insulin levels are shot. I lose leg mass quickly on this diet. This is another reason why my low carb days (which is roughly 100 carbs) are limited to 4 consecutive days. Then I go back to low fat/IF dieting.
