Article: Fish Oil Claims Not Supported by Research

I'm beginning to doubt most articles that AM puts out. I know of at least 2 people who take 2000 DHA/EPA daily and their cholesterol dropped. No change to the diet or lifestyle. Their doctors were shocked.

This doesn't really make much sense. If fish oil DIDN'T work, then surely those cases of people taking super aspirin PLUS fish oil (probably not such a good idea) wouldn't see any effects, instead of getting nasty nose bleeds? Clearly Omega 3 works, hence the real fish recommendation, so I fail to see evidence here that taking a supplement is pointless and will have ZERO impact on your health. Of course, natural food sources will always be preferable for anything, but that's not always possible.

Furthermore, "a clinical trial of 12,000 people found that a gram of fish oil daily did not reduce the rate of death from heart attacks and strokes in people with evidence of atherosclerosis..." WOW... in further news, extensive research of 1,000 horses in 1,000 stables has discovered that shutting the stable door after they have bolted has no effect.
