This sounds like a study with tremendous potential for bias. There is likelihood that the people drinking diet soda were overweight which would have a huge contributing factor to depression. I for one am not convinced and need to know a lot more about how the study was conducted. I'm honestly hardly even swayed...
I have to agree. There are far too many factors involved to jump to causation. Honestly the whole study sounds fairly ridiculous IMHO. Additionally the control group was 50 years to 70 years old? They should relabel the study or tag on "older individuals". I'm so sick of this crackpot attempt at science. Also, why "diet" soda being the devil? You can't crucify sugarless beverages when the study is mainly concerned with beverages that contain sugar. Bah.
