Article: Coaches On Shoulders

Solid article. Gives me some good ideas to play around with.

Yeah it is a very good article and applies to all aspects of the body look after the little muscles first then you will see the results from the bigger muscle groups.

Dude the land mine should series are a blast! Did them at the gym and eevryone was staring like an ET had just landed in the middle of the weight room. the following week almost everyday theres someone doing the same thing kkk!

I did landmines last week after having read the article. Man, my shoulders were popping and locking like Kurtis Blow---(nod to Tupac there.) But, they were swoll as all heck. Definitely keeping these going. Fun stuff!

Can anyone give me a little "Land Mine" info? The guy in the vid is kneeling. I have been doing them as a pec exercise for the past year but I do them standing - and alternating arms after each set. What's the dif kneeling or standing?

I've only ever done them as shown in the video. I'm thinking that by kneeling, you're concentrating more on the shoulder, much in the way of a seated overhead press as opposed to a standing overhead press.

Thanks - am just catching up on old articles I didn't have time to read. Next time at gym I will try kneeling vs standing and see how their feel compares...

Actually the standing land mine showing in the video works medial delts while the kneeling version if you look it up on your tube is a diferent movement, instead of something that resembles your windshield wipers.. its done with the tip of the barbel pointing towards your back. resting almost on top of your shoulder. Than you lift it up almost like punching someone one in the chin thus working front delts!

Correct. Since he had referenced the video where the guy's on his knees, that's what I was talking about. I forgot that in the other one, he's standing. I've done both versions, however, since my bar is too small to get the medial delt work, I had to kneel down to get the benefit. Great exercises! Really get that cannonball look.

And yeah, "punching" is a good descriptor, as that's what the exercise calls for. Same with windshield wipers. Fun exercises!
