Article: Bodybuilding in the year of 2045

2045, the year many scientists are banking that we discover how to upload consiousness to whatever we desire. I'm sure technology and people will be closer than this article describes and physical culture may likely be even lesser than described.

Bah. Want to know what's 30 years ahead? Look 30 years back. Not that much different from now right? That's what you can expect. Not too much different from today. The bodybuilding scene in 1985 was not too different from today's, and I expect it'll be largely the same in 2045.

Myostatin inhibitors will have killed the concept of having to lift weights to gain muscle, before 2045.

WWIII & WWIV will have taken place by then. The world will be so jacked no one will give two craps about their physiques; but rather fighting over their ration of food.

Not much has changed in 30 years compudog? In bodybuilding alone, look at how the physiques have changed... 1985 Mr. O: Lee Haney (5'11, 240) vs. Ronnie Coleman (5'11, 300lbs), not to mention the drugs that have come to scene. National level NPC physiques are on par the O contenders from 30 years ago..

Aside from that look at technology. The fact that I typed this from a portable hand-held phone/computer would've blown the mind of someone in 1985. People have jobs on the Internet, HDR, plastic surgeries beyond belief, etc, etc... **** is way different from 30 years ago, and **** will be way different in 2045, almost unimaginable I believe

Let us not forget about an 112%+ increase in inflation, almost totally different worlds.

Sure lots of things have changed, but nothing drastic. The basics are still the same; the training, the competition formats and so on. 30 years just isn't a long time in regards to those types of things. Now, 130 years would likely bring on the kind of drastic changes the author was aiming at. 130 years ago, bodybuilding didn't really exist at all I think, and so that far in the future it might be similarly different from now.

i think the author is getting at that bodybuilding is going to die out as we get more technologically advanced and have less and less need for use of muscle and looking good.

in 30 years its definitely gonna be different then it is today.
