Too true, squats bad for knees? Maybe if youve got a medical issue with them previously , pre and post workout nutrition invalid?? So why are the gainz coming and why does research disagree with this article i could write an article with why this arti le is a heap of zeus's horse £×_÷
What was terribly wrong with his points again? Nothing he said was far out of line, but I do think the statement about fasting leaves the cortisol levels high is kinda strange when he did mention earlier that eating often was not the best way for insulin sensitivity. To eat less means you might have to go for fasted periods, at least that's what I do.
Other than that, everything else has some validity to it.
The article seems pretty good to me. Can anyone elaborate on what's wrong with it? He didn't say not to do squats and deadlifts. He said to do trap bar squats and trap bar deadlifts. Until one year ago I would have been flabbergasted to hear someone say that. But then I injured my back and my perspective on lifting eventually became changed entirely.
3 comments about the article being horse crap but not one reason was given. Lol if you're going to say it's crap please tell us why you think it's crap and please provide some type of scientific evidence or even just logical evidence to back it up. I have a feeling people aren't happy about him saying there's no need to focus on curls for bigger arms and steroids will make your body grow no matter what you do. Funny thing is that both of those statements are true. If those aren't the things you were talking about then what was?
Get the f@ck out of here. Since when do steroids make muscles grow - that sh@t is bro science. All you need are cortisol pills and fasted cardio - time tested method to grow. Oh yeah, conventional deads, a waste of time, not a big lift.
#5 and 7 is a perfect example of one trying to argue physics with philosophy. Just because a certain muscle is being "used" as an ancillary in an exercise that's not intended directly for it; doesn't mean it's being "trained." Training involves OVERLOAD. It isn't at complete rest albeit but not strained so much that it's going to make a big difference to just anyone. If that weren't true then you may as well throw it out there that bent over rows work your neck because it's holding your head.
