Yer no one ever got really strong with body weight. Err Except Olympic gymnasts of course. This article sucks but your comment shows you know nothing about bodyweight exercise. Can you do a one handed handstand push up? or a one handed pull up? Thought not. Too many dumb asses who think the squat, dead lift and bench press are the only way to get strong.
