Basically all this article says is that too many variables exist to use any research provided. Interesting subject, but terrible content as far as informing an audience goes.
 
Well this guy at my gym talks about how smoking weed helps him to train harder. His perception is very off. I often catch him staring into space for 5 to 10 minutes, doing half assed reps and talking to his friends for the majority of the time. I believe that he believes he's killing it In the gym. But he's not lol
 
I've been smoking since I was 15. I'm 36 now. I smoke after a workout to help get me ready to graze!! Never a lack of enthusiasm to lift. Never smoke before.
 
I use BHO, a marijuana concentrate. A can vouch that my appetite has gone to ****, and I can not work out high. It makes me so lazy. Maybe the key is to smoke flower post workout to relax.

It's usually best just to wait until later in the day. I do smoke early in the day occasionally but it does make me a little more tired throughout the day
 
You also have to take into account what method of consumption, strain, tolerance, etc.

Vape a hit of good sativa in the morning, and you're good to go. Smoke some indica in the morning, without medical need, and your whole day is going to be much less productive IME.
