Article: 6 Diets With Serious Flaws

I've never been a fan of fad diets. This gluten free trend just pisses me off. All of the sudden everyone is gluten "sensitive". I want to shove wheat down their throats.

This reminds me of when low carb got crazy big in the early 2000's late 1990's. We had a whole isle at my store devoted to it. These fatties would come in and buy literally hundreds of dollars of sugar free turtles, pecan clusters, caramel chocolate bars and other SF chocolate. I would sit there and ring them up thinking "ya clearly this is a long term solution. Maybe it's not the carbs but the fact that you are eating HUNDREDS of dollars of candy you idiot!"

I know loosing weight can be hard and there is much to the physiology that we are still learning but if you think that the answer is to eat candy, I don't care if it is sugar free or not, then you will fail. Any time I want to change something major in my life, and health would qualify as major, you need to invest time to learn how to do it. Most people lack the effort to simply learn how to solve their own problems let alone the motivation to actually implement what they learn.

I do not think people are stupider now then ever before but it sure is easier to coast through life as an idiot now then ever before. Ok end rant.
