that amount of protein is a little more reasonable. imo 1 gram per pound is way to much

the study that i looked at for protein needs showed 1g/K... which is more reasonable than 1g/LB
Dr. Layne Norton mentions several times in his vlogs that the body has a positive anabolic reaction up to 40g in a serving(On average). Given three meals and a post workout shake, that suggest most of us should be shooting for at least 120g. I'd love to know if the anabolic effect is related to weight or not. Haven't ever heard any mention of that.

I think the study that he is refering to is about how much protein it takes to spark protein synthesis. Which is something around 25-30g and that anything over a certain amount which was just over that minimum didn't give any more positive effect.

In my opinion, I think its more important to focus on your total protein needs rather than timing.

Ive always believed in .75-1g protein per lean mass... there is too much emphasis placed on protein requirements and honestly its causes most to overlook carbs and fats and micros. @150 lbs I aim for 100-120g of pro from whole foods and then a shake pre bed....
