Aromasin results and a question

In MAY, my lab results, while taking nothing, were
E2 54.8 (7.6 - 42.6)
LH 4.4 (1.7 - 8.6)
TT 593 (348 - 1197)
SHBG 70.1 (19.3 - 76.4)

So I started using 6.25mg of generic Aromasin, twice a week.

Yesterday's blood test results were
E2 32.4
LH 6.3
TT 854

I wanted to see how the Aromasin was working, before I spent money for SHBG and FT.
OK, I'm pleased with the Aromasin results.
Here is my question......
Even on this small of a dose, my prostate seems a little swollen, 12 hours after I take the 6.25 dose, and
I can feel it for a few days.

Does anyone also feel that AROMASIN annoys their prostate?
 
I take a full tab (I think 25mg) aromasin 2-3 times per week. What does a swollen prostate feel like? I don't think I notice anything like that..and my physicals are always normal when they do the ultrasound on the prostate.
 
Without the aromasin, I never have a awareness of my prostate. On the aromasin I feel like I'm just road my bike for awhile.

Maybe, a FT, SHBG, DHT test will tell me something.
 
what is the sensation like? just a bit sore down there? I'm curious cos I have no idea what to look out for. I always thought it just made it harder to pee, etc
 
Interesting and sounds like a androgenic effect but it should not be doing this....I like the blood work though

You can see that the aromasin drove up your T level as expected. This will also increase DHT and this can cause your prostate to feel swollen. I got the same feeling coming off avodart when my DHT levels went back up.

Until I have DHT, SHBG, FT test levels, I am going to take 3.125mg Aromasin EOD. That keeps the weekly dose about the same, but, maybe it will smooth out the hormone peaks.
Since it took over a month, of taking Aromasin, for my prostate to swell, I really suspect the SHBG level will be lower, since SHBG has a 20 day half-life.
DHT level will be interesting to see, although, I don't understand if SHBG bound DHT is considered ACTIVE.
DIRECTLABS.COM had the best DHT test price, and PRIVATEMDLABS.COM has the best MALE PANEL price, so I'll be going to LABCORP with two orders.

That is correct
Directly it has nothing to do with aromasin but indirectly a lot to do with increased DHT due to increased testsosterone production.
Some ppl have a predisposition for this, I'd be careful there isnt any cancer or some other abnormality present with increased testosterone will make worse.
Also check your PSA
 
Are you taking aromasin as an AI while on TRT, or just on it's own?
I take it you must be trying it on it's own, due to the low dosage you are using. Strange that you'd get prostate issues with test levels in the 500s. Your DHT can't be very high at that level. I do know that aromasin has a mild yet direct effect on the AR though

OK. Gutterpump, you have got me..... What is AR?

My TT=854 on 6.25mg of Aromasin every 3.5 days. And no TRT.
This morning I split the 6.25mg ( 1/4 of a pill ) in half and took the smaller 1/8 piece, and so far, my prostate feels much less swollen.
I'll know more when I take the larger piece in two days.
But splitting the pill into uniform 1/8 pieces is beyond my ability.

Aromasin has a 27 hour half life, so taking it every two days may be better for me, than dosing twice a week.

I may try this new 1/8 of a pill, dosed EOD, for a week, before I get the blood work done.
 
I got my labs back, except the DHT.
Dosing 3.125mg Aromasin EOD, in place of 6.25mg twice a week, has calmed down my prostate swelling.
Although I am now taking a little less Aromasin my TT, LH, FSH, increased and my E2 dropped in one week.
TT 894 (348-1197)
E2 30.2 (7.6-42.6)
LH 7.0 (1.7-8.6)
FSH 5.1 (1.5-12.4)
FT 15.6 (7.2-24)
SHBG 71.4 (19.3-76.4)

My SHBG is suppressing my FT.
When I get the DHT labs, I suspect they will be mid-range, because of the low FT.

OVERALL the AROMASIN is a success, now that my prostate is not swelling.
I'm going to start a new thread on the anabolic forum, and
ask about liquid Aromasin...... I feel like I could water it down and take daily doses.

Basically I'm in the same boat as PEABODY. I would love to try a little Anavar, Proviron, or WINNY to nudge the SHBG lower, but
I'm going to try NETTLES, and test TT ,E2 AND FT in a few months, to see if I can shake a little more Test free, without lowering my HPTA.

This is a relatively new symptom I am seeing starting to come about. I had a guy have same thing happen on armidex. It may be because the body is lowering e2 and shifting to more e1 which is estrone. In theory the prostate should be getting better if e2 is coming down. If SHBG then e2 may need to be higher as e2 does have protective traits as well in the prostate. There comes a fine balance when it related to hormones.
