Arnold is right around the corner

Graeters is good, but Jeni's is probably the best ice cream I've ever had. Salty caramel or goat cheese & fig are amazing.

I do think jenis unique flavors do make it stand out. I would have to agree

Thinking of going to Thurman's and getting the "Johnny" burger or the "Thurminator"... Any reviews on those two? if I can't finish the Thurminator I have a full fridge at my hotel so lefties for brekky.

The Johnny is what I had there, was great. I love bleu cheese on anything though, I had it last night on my steak salad!

I can't go to the Arnold, but can I watch it online?

But isn't the expo the best part??

Quality wise Jeni's is top dawg, the chocolate is the best on the market. and yes it is pricey but they use very expensive ingredients. their espresso uses fresh beans made right from Chicago (Black Cat).
Graeters I am a huge fan of due to the massive and thick mix-ins.

There's a place in North Market where a bunch of people who look like they're in a punk rock band make the best Belgian waffles. Highly recommend it, don't remember what it's called. North Market is just a fun place to be and walk around. Hopefully I didn't just confuse that place with the market in Cincinnati I went to, but I stand by my recommendation of hitting up North Market and walking around. Got a buddy in Marysville that is the hook up with where to go in Cbus and Union County.

Depends on how much you enjoy being in a herd of meatheads with ILS and hyperaggression for no reason. The Animal Cage, strongman show, and some of the friends I've made that work booths make it worthwhile to hit up the expo.

The Solution I'm going to melt Friday to do the challenge....interested?

Also planning on the thuminator and jenis and now graeters lol and wanna find some good donuts

Buckeye Donuts on campus is the best! Also, if you get a Melt tattoo, you get 25% off your order for life. Just throwin that out there!

One year when I lived in Cbus there was a UFC fight at Nationwide the Friday night of the Arnold plus Ohio high school wrestling states were going on at the Schott. Now that was a weekend of aggression to remember!

See, when I go to the Arnold, half of my time is spent at States. I wrestled from the time I was a little kid up until my sophomore year of college, I love that shyt. Its a nice break from the expo and there's some awesome talent to be witnessed. This year states is the week after the Arnold, so I'm hoping that frees up some room in the city.

Definitely! Ohio wrestling is no joke. I went to Walsh Jesuit High School so I roamed the halls with some beasts back in day!

Best friend from high school, Olentangy Liberty, he won states back to back at his weight. He's wrestling at Osu right now, well his dad's the coach so that helps hahahah

One night I was at Paninis (now Big Bar) and my gf at the time (total sloptart) was hitting on some other guy. I was bigger than him, so I was staring him down and acting all tough. Then I realized it was J Jaggers (two time NCAA champ, now an assistant coach)...and he was there with his wrestling buddies. Boy did my attitude change!! Haha, I actually ended up hanging out with those guys for a little bit at the bar and they were really cool. Dodged a bullet that night!

Melt is going to be a lot of fun, i have almost gone gotten through everything on the menu

Challenge? Which ones are the best?

Sat next to well across a guy doing the challenge, don't think i have laughed that hard in a long time, its 13 cheeses, 3 slices of break and then a whole side dish. I haven't done it but they guy finished like 2/3rds of it then called quits, just so so much cheese. My favorite on the menu would be the "wet hot buffalo chicken", "Godfather", "PB and banana" a lot of it comes down to what you enjoy eating, like i also liked the 'cuban war pig" but i like pork belly, some people may not. I still have 5 to try, ill be trying the 'Big popper" tomorrow

I'm planning on the Thurmonator, Hibachi ayce and one more. Doubt it will be the Melt Challenge, too much cheese for me.

This on top of Jeni's & Graeter's.

I may do another option at Melt though.

The guy from Man vs. Food failed also. He said the key is to eat fast because once the cheese gets cold and hardens, it's game over. I've heard the Parmageddon is pretty popular

the reason its not ranked higher for me is the kraut, i usually don't eat kraut but i had to try it, and i liked it a lot but still its kraut to me hahah. but overall i would give it a 8.5/10 mainly because i don't like kraut

This is a good plan
Melt one night

Dinner and dessert

Perfect

Thurman line will
Be like 90-120 min

Good point, line PLUS Ohio weather. Though it was a high of 31 today. High hopes

2hrs?!?! Shizz
Staying 3 nights...
1-Jeni's, 1-Graeter's. For the third night I might do Sugar Daddy's because I want the s'mores brownie and don't think I can take that home.

Do you think there will be less of a wait at Thurman's on Sunday night?

Tabascoonall - I'm a little confused by the Melt menu... under the grilled cheese section they have some options that don't seem like grilled cheese sandwiches (ie. Godfather - description is of a lasagna)

its a lasagna on a grilled cheese
eveything comes served on grilled cheese
some can be like pizza grilled cheese's

Think everything between texas toast grilled cheese.

Just go there and get something that sounds good
Problem solved

no need to look up stuff
Just eat what you enjoy and move on with your life.

Way too much thinking and overanalyzing.

Paralysis by analysis! Just listen to your stomach bro and all will be good!

Haha ya I guess, just not used to these types of choices in my neck of the woods.

Lasagna on a grilled cheese?? Haha... OK, I have to go now just to see the ridiculous combinations. When are you planning on going? We seem to miss each other every year at the Arnold.

There are two locations both near the Arnold. If one is packed might be worth trying the other!! But I'm telling you, you won't regret it!!

Do the challenge with me Friday night man

Do the challenge with me Friday night man

I'll go with you and cheer you on but I think I'll order something else.

If I do the challenge I don't think i will be able to handle dessert, cant take that risk ;)

If any of you feel like making the track down to powell Ohio to the jenis in downtown powell i some people working there. Might be able to reduce the price a little for yeah

25 min from the Arnold

The one guy @ Grandview shop knows me well every time i viist. the size of his Scoops are like Triple scoops :) he hooks it up!

That's how it's done! Great guy hahah. And if anyone does come down to powell stop by SupZilla, I'll hand out more samples, not like you won't get enough at the expo hahahah

I don't think there is such a thing as too many free samples lol. I'd willing to come down to Powell for cheaper Jeni's, but how would that work? You going to be around?
